Ardythe Sayers
This is not the first time Mrs. Sayers has taken up arms in the battle against cancer. Ardythe, known to some affectionately as Ardie, has fought side by side with many others in an effort to end cancer.

Ardie's creative background is quite impressive. She is a pioneer in the greeting card industry, as she helped pave the way for ethnic cards in the marketplace with her African-American Santas greeting card collection, which was published by Gibson Greeting Cards in the early 90's. This is only one of her many artistic accomplishments.

The National Send a Card Day project is sincerely honored to feature her beautiful greeting card designs in this year's commemorative collection.

Cynthia Martin
Cynthia loves designing cards and writing verses to encourage others. Her design specialty is handmade cards. Cynthia's cards were recently published in the African American Expressions 2008 Spring Catalog.

Cynthia was inspired to launch this project in loving memory of her father, Ralph Jerald Gilliard who's life ended due to a rare stomach cancer, her mother Janice Gilliard, who is a breast cancer survivor, and other loved ones and friends who have had to battle cancer to one degree or another. Cynthia is passionate and deeply driven to help take the financial stress off of those who are facing cancer battles.
